ClipCut is a video utility application designed to help content creators and everyday users easily split long videos into equal parts tailored for social media platforms such as Instagram (Stories & Reels), TikTok (Videos & Stories), and WhatsApp (Status).

The app functions entirely locally and autonomously on the user's device operating system (Android or iOS).

[03]Requested Device Permissions & Justifications

The app only requests permissions that are strictly necessary for its core video splitting utility features:

Photo & Video Gallery Access (READ_MEDIA_VIDEO / PhotoKit)

Purpose: Allows the user to select the source video to split and save the exported clips back into their camera roll or device gallery.

Camera (Optional)

Purpose: Activated only if the user chooses to record a new video directly within the app rather than picking an existing file.

Foreground Service (Android)

Purpose: Prevents the operating system from terminating the video export process if the user temporarily switches apps.

[04]Storage & File Deletion

Projects and temporary cut files reside exclusively within the app's sandboxed local storage on your phone.

You are in full control: deleting a project inside the app or uninstalling the app permanently removes all associated files from your device.

[05]Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR)

ClipCut does not collect information from anyone, including children under 13. The application is entirely safe for all audiences as an offline utility tool.
